Are you using 2x4's for the stand ??? I was told when you get into the 6' length tanks you need to step up to 2x6's....

Atleast thats what most of the people in the DIY section reccomend...

Looks like a great start Tonya! Maybe you could use the Washing Machine for a Sump!

BATC- Matt has made stands for 450s out of 2x4s... I overkill my stuff too though.

Yep, 2x4's We used 3 2x4's screwed together for the 2 back legs
2 2x4's for the front legs and also have the regular studs along the front also....

On a side not, I am pretty lucky of the location of the tank, I can use the dryer exhaust if needed to remove hot air and also to run an air line to my skimmer. The water hookups for the washer are right there also, so I can hookup a sink and RO unit for topoff. And of course a nice drain in the floor in case of emergency
There is also a light fixture above the tank, so when I slide back my lumenarcs i'll still be able to see in the tank
