no polyps

Hm, a few of my colonies are not showing any polyp extensions. When I look at the colonies, the branches seem to be empty with no sign of any polyps ever being there.

Is that good or bad?

not a good sign.unless you just got them or just did a water change.if none of the above test alk.nitrate and phosphate for starters.but it could be anything out of whack even salinity or temp.

salinity is a little under par.try to keep it at 1.025,even though some from the red sea live in around 1.028 and others 1.024,1.025 is a good spot to give you +or- 1 and still be good.

dkh = 14
calcium 375-400 iirc
mag 1300

its a 8 foot long tank. So I have two tunze 6100 blowing directly at each other on pulse setting. On the back wall, there are 3 Koralia 4 hitting the front.

Light consists of 2 250watt reeflux 10k.

Feeding once every other day. Dose vodka every 3 days. Water changes every 2 weeks or whenever it floods (:P).

The thing is, the polyps were all fine until yesterday night or the night before when I dosed some vodka, Kent Essential Elements, and a table spoon of microvert or something from Kent. I believe one or more of these are the cause.

However, I am more worried about the future than the past events. I just want to know if they will recover and not RTN on me.
