Ebay MH Bulb Question

I was searching around on ebay and found these bulbs. I had some questions so I emailed the seller. He emailed back to call him and I did. I got some basic info on the bulbs and i'm going to email some of the people that have purchased them. He also said that he has sent some bulbs to Sanjay to see if he will test them. If nothing else, it's interesting.

My question is has anyone bought these ... if so, what were your results? If you know about them but have not bought them, why???

Below is the link to the item. He sells many different bulbs. These just happen to be the 10k 150W DE's.

Thanks

I know the guy that got him to send them to Sanjay for testing. However, he doesn't have them on his tank yet. PM me if you want to know his RC handle.

I went the e-bay route for MH lamps and was severely disappointed.

just remember, you get what you pay for. Dont get them just cause they are cheap. If the deal looks to good to be true then it probably is. Nowhere can you get MH bulbs for 10 bucks and expect them to be any good.

You get what you pay for isn't always true.

there is a long thread somewhere about Ebay bulbs and many like them.

That being said, I would never use them, Doesnt mean they dont work.

I can understand about getting a discount, but getting a bulb for 10 bucks is too good to be true.

I had some just to have in case something happened. The great del bulb's. They weren't to bad imo, kinda ugly as the 20k looked like a slight yellow tint. My lps and sps frags didn't seem to grow any differently when i used them or used 250w 20k radium's. That being said, i personally wouldn't run them on my tank as the only light.
