yep even if you pull the sticker off. as the fill area also has diff. threads co2 bottles have right hand threads and o2 bottles have left hand threads or may be the other way around. + the green part on the top is a dead giveaway that it is an O2 bottle and the stamp on the bottle should have a code that states it is an O2 bottle so it is much more than just pulling the sticker.

sorry

Get your yellow pages out and go to welders/welding supplies.
Call and ask if they have CO2 tanks.

IMO this by far the best route for several reasons.
1. You dont acually buy the tank. You usually just put a deposit on the one they "lend" you. You just pay for the gas.

2. Whenever you need to refill it you just take their empty tank in and they swap it out for a few bucks.

3. I have found out through experience that many places wont fill a tank unless it is one of "theirs" or they "test" tanks that are not theirs for a fee.

With the prices offered for scrap metal these days, you might be better off just scrapping it. If you tried to sell it on e-bay you may run into all kinds of shipping nightmares as transporting gas cylinders (even supposedly empty ones) is a highly regulated affair.
Try the welding supply house as stated above. See if they'll give you anything for it or swap it out for you when needed.

Good luck, and keep that cute kid away from that unsupported metal bomb, it's not a toy
