Unhappy Need ID on a worm

Saw this worm coming out, and then "eating" with this mouth thing you can see in the photo.

An ID would be amazing, it is atleast 2", maybe more, so I am a little worried it is bad.

Looks like the feeding proboscis of a Sipunculida worm (aka peanut worm) mopping up detritus / left over food particles. Harmless critter.

Why would you want it to die? You should, in my opinion of course, encourage such life in your aquarium.
