yeah...but everything is kicking a** in there...I have no problems at all. Maybe this will make some folks consider the viability of small tanks and what they can host.

Get the vinyl tubing at lowes or HD. I get my bulkheads and locline from customaquatics.com.

wow so only chaeto and rubble in the back. thats pretty sweet and it seems like the maintenance is a lot easier that way. ive been trying to understand how the back of the tank works. you have maxi 400s in the two side compartments and chaeto and rubble in the middle. the water goes from the display to the middle compartment and those oval shaped holes allow water from the middle to enter the side compartments?? i also dunget why O holes are worse than U holes. where is this??
I'm really interested in this tank cus of its low costs and just cus its amazing. thanks for keeping us updated, scaast.

dusty...you are correct in the waterflow...display overflows into the middle back that contains chaeto and rubble, then the water flows through the oval cutouts into the return chambers.

my comment about having a U hole rather than round hole for the return bulkheads was simply a matter of ease of maintenance...it's hard to fit my hands into the back chamber to get to the maxis. if it was a U hole I could simple remove the entire maxi/tubing/bulkhead assembly then slide it back in and tighten the bulkhead. Maybe this crappy sketch will help make it clear.

ahh thanks. u dont have any trouble with the water flooding out of the back do u? those oval holes seem to be very close to the top. if you turned off the power, wouldnt there be an extremely large amount of water flowing into the back?
