Was wondering if 15 hours of light is way too much for chaeto>? Have it at about 10hours right now.. What do you guys think=)

I think someone on RC actually set up some controlled experiments regarding this. I don't remember what the results were, but i remember thinking to myself..... with all the money i save on electricity, i could upgrade my filtration system.
Plus, i think you'd be better off doing less light and spending the money on salt for water changes. But if money wasn't a factor.... hmmm |

Shouldn't be a problem...some people run their lights 24/7 on chaeto.
I run mine about 14 hours, reverse light cycle from the tank, to help pH stability. HTH, -R |

I have heard that much more than 6h is wasted. I have even seen setups on RC that run two tanks each with seperate 6h photoperiods.

Cool, thanks for the input. Think I might try it out for a few weeks and see if the growth changes. I was asking because my DT is dark for 15 hours... Was thinking of just running the fuge light the whole time dt is dark=)
