Euroreef RS80 skimmer not bubling

My RS80 skimmer is not producing many bubbles. I have taken it apart and cleaned it good and it did not help.It has a few bubbles that dissapate before they reach the water column top so there is no skimming going on. The pump seems to be working fine when I plug it in ..anybody have any suggestions on what I can try? The knobby thingy that causes the bubbles is turning...how about that for technical jargon??

The airline has always been the problem with my Coralife Super Sckmmer. I keep a syringe nearby and put it on the distal end of the tubing and rapidly push and pull on the plunger until I clear the line and can hear air sucking.

How old is the tank you have this skimmer in and how long has the skimmer been in use? My Octopus NW200 didn't produce any good foam for the first 30-45 days.

Vicki the syringe to the airline trick worked many thanks..I guess the is one place I did not clean. and Del you know this skimmer only about 4 months old so you ain't gonna make a sell here . I got it when I set the tank up . I used to have a super skimmer on the 29 and forgot how often I had to clean that airline tubing...my memory has been officially jogged.

well now that I am awake and thinking about it ..a G6 would have been overkill. It should do a fine job for you IF AND WHEN you get your set up going .
