my anemone yawns at night... help?

I brought home my new blue carpet anemone yesterday and acclimated it over about an hour. It looked really good for having just made the 1 hour trip in a bag. The lights were on in the tank for about 7 hours before night (after acclimation). Later in the evening it had deflated, which I assumed was just due to the stress of the trip, it was also "yawning" a bit. In the morning before lights on it wzs much more shapely but still yawning, and as the lights came on it perked up rather well. It didnt have much of an apetite though. Now, at the end of the day it is deflating again. I am hoping it is due to the stress of acclimation, water conditions and a different light schedule. Is this a reasonable assumption? I have no idea how long/at what times the lights in the shop were on. It definitely looked pretty good for most of the day, but and this is only the end of about 36 hours here, so I dont want to come to any hasty conclusions. Can anyone offer me any advice?

give it a day or two, I wouldn't worry about it eating right now. keep an eye on the water params

Should I make any effort to find out or match the light cycle from the lfs? I cant imagine that its common for a reefer to do so if adding an anemone to an established tank...

wish u the best. i love blue carpet, yet have chance to own one. and blue carpet is the hardest carpet to keep.

Give it some time and make sure your conditions are excellent. It could take days to weeks for it to settle in. Not really that important to match LFS light cycle. If your other corals are doing well so should your anenome.

Well, that would be great but I dont have any other corals, only the live rock and what came on them. There are a few small frag sized piece, which seem happy.

how old is the tank? did you happen to read Anenome FAQ?

Ive had rock in my tank for about a moth, the cycle is well over. I did read the anemone faq a couple times and various other sources. Is there something in particular I should point my attention to?
