What happened to my wrasse?

He was an awesome Tonos fairy wrasse. Not in the tank, not in the overflow, not in the sump.

Parameters are in check, everything else is healthy.

I have a solarflare that sits snug across the top of a eurbraced tan. One a coupl eof inches for him to jump out.

He must have made it. But where did he go?

My conclucion: The dog ate him, and thats why he's sick.

Possibly, if there is any space at all a wrasse will often jump out. However many wrasses also sleep in the sandbed and operate on a pretty strict schedule. My H. Melenurus is up before the lights are on every morning and cannot be found after 8:00pm sharp! I could set my watch by his behavior. Keep faith, good luck!

There have been times where my halichorus (xmas wrasse) have been in the sand bed for 3+ days at a time. I would give him about a week before you chalk him up as a lost. If you have anything else in there that will pester him then he could be just hiding in your rock work.

Yep, I have to agree he could be hiding. I have had one wrote off that showed up out of nowhere a month later (in a 90 gal).
