Leave Halide ON For 8 HRS?

Getting ready to hang a aqua medic 150HQI pendant over my 18 gal via aqua tank. The bulb is a 20k. This will be the only lighting and I keep a mix of SPS as well as SPS in my tank. Would 8 hours a day be enough? Thanks

Yeah, that shoud be fine. I would make 8 the minimum unless you are acclimating corals.

Since its the only light I would say that 8-10 hours a day is good. I personally would have actinics that came on an hour before and went off an hour after the MHs. JMO, Skip
