Good Protien skimmer
What kind of skimmer could i buy for my 72g bow that would do a good job and keep some money in my pocket?

What are you priorities for a skimmer?
Size? Noise? Effieciency? Do you have a sump?

I need to get a light fix also gona be geting tekt5 4x54 within the week.I am gona have soft corals+fish.Would like no noise because it is in my bedroom,i have a 10gal wet/dry i would want a decent skimmer prolly spend around 100-150.someone was telling me about the euro reef but they are expensive.Are there other brands that will perform the same?
All help is much appericated |

aquac remora pro is probably your best option. I dont know if your going to have room for an insump skimmer being that its a 10g wet dry sump. and the price range itself, remora looks to be your best bet in a HOB variety.

Quiet, Small, Effective, Flexible Placement
The Tunze 9010 can be configured for placement in your aquarium and can be reconfigured for placement in a small sump. At $327, it is not cheap but it is quiet and you will get a good night's sleep.
You've seen the mixed reviews of the Remora (I used to own one with the MJ1200 pump and pre-filter box), so I would not even go there. |

in sump octopus nw 150 or aquaeuro classic 135 (make sure the metal plate pump problem is handled before getting an aquaeuro) either one is $150 and is about as good as it gets for a 10 gallon sump.
If you go HOB get a D&D marine typhoon, much better than a remora! (if you have the cash a bermuda rouge wave for $250 is an awesome hob) |

I would do almost anything you can to not use a HOB skimmer, as even the most best HOB skimmer will be outclassed by a mediocre In-sump skimmer of the same price.
If it all possible, I would get rid of the wet/dry, buy the largest sized tank you can fit under your stand and then look into the Octopus skimmers. They are in your price range and will outperform pretty much any HOB skimmer |
