Thanks Laz, but I just can't right now and will probably not try again for a while. I will let John and Matt keep the iron hot for me so when I retire from work I can have another go at it.

Oh and since we have a few loungers here....I own page three!!!!

Thanks for the info... but I'm moving to Tampa, not trying to get a date with John.

That's a post that actually made me giggle.. And you have posted how many posts this week praising the store in Holiday? Are you sure you don't work there? On a side note, I have to defend John here a little bit... Sure he has that overly bubbly personality that everybody likes, and talks about (lol), but he is one of the few in the LFS business that actually cares what he's selling his customers. And no I'm not getting paid to say that, read my occupation if you want proof If you are looking for sick fish and brown or bleached corals that are hanging on by a thread, then you definitely don't want to go to FAOIS, as he won't sell them to you there.... Sorry to bring the thread even futher off topic, but it gets hard to bite my tongue sometimes.

OK Back on topic.... Welcome to the great sunny area of Central Florida!

Welcome to the area. I moved here a year ago and I like it here. I'm sure you will too. Just not having a boat is killing me inside. lol

ot- the drama comment. John was on the phone with me for about 45 min educating me on acrylic tanks. Also spent his valuable time trying to fix my broken pump when everyone else told me to buy a new one. I'm not even close to a reef baller$$$. faois ftw.

Gosh it feels good to be back in town, I leave for a few days and look what I missed.
Let me guess, you are off to take english lessons. I recommend re-reading those fish books once you finish the english classes. I think you will find out that you misinterpreted most of what was written. Those big words like "cryptocaryon" may have gotten lost in the translation since your preference in stores leads me to believe that you have no idea what "ich" is.

Allaboutreef- I am going to ask you to take a step away from this thread because you are doing more harm than good. Your person agenda my be the root of this misinformation, but a guy says he is moving to the Tampa area and you have to ruin his first experience, GROW UP.

I admit I have gone to all the stores in the greater Tampa area, have been reefing for awhile, and I have to says that John at FAOIS knows what he is talking about. Not to discredit all the other LFS owners in the area, because a lot of them have a bunch of good info as well, but give it up. Just get off of this and move on, because the thread is showing very contrary views to your obvious personal agenda of dragging John through the mud, which he doesn't deserve.

PS Go read a book.

Well this is an expensive hobby, so it is possible that you are in the wrong stage of your life to have such a so called "expensive" hobby.

David,
If you are ever in Sarasota, there is a nice little spot off of siesta key called point of rocks. Not sure of any places up in the tampa area to go diving..

Thanks mhurley. None the less David, welcome to a great area. There is a whole lot to do with reefs, outside activities, nightlife and so on. There are a bunch of really great people here. WELCOME. ---Chris

Yeah the biggest concern was the area we picked. We assumed it would be pretty nice based on the quality of the complex and the fact that it is somehow technically on a private island but we were hoping that some locals might have some better insight.

BTW I'm not affected by the drama - at all. I spent 4 years in the branch of the military that has the biggest number of slime balls of them all, can you guess which one? (Don't say anything if you know) So I do pretty ok dealing with idiots.

Well I am glad thats what you think. I think that area is good, however, I live out in the boonies just south of Brandon. If you are happy with the place and you are only renting I think you said, you will only be under contract for a year. No big deal, you know?

i had to make things clears for everyone that misunderstood me

i think that FAOIS is a nice store, they have nice fish and corals the store is nice looking but it is still expensive to me. dont have too much stuff to offer tho

marine warehouse is the same as FAOIS

coral reef on armenia and water is worse

now holiday aquariums is cheaper than the stores i just mentioned and is proven by me and some other people cuz they go to the stores i mentioned, but their system is old cuz it was bought like that

but everything got out of hand cuz everybody got emotional

and i do not work at a damn fish store
