Question Brass Fittings

I want to use a brass needle valve on the output of my RO/DI system to control the water level. (I can't find a needle valve made out of plastic)

Does anyone know if this is a bad idea? Will it introduce elements into my water column that are undesirable? I have a SPS dominated reef tank.

Thanks,
Dennis

Drfostersmith sells micro ball valve's, I tried to find a link for you..but the part number is #NX-821078, I use it to drip into my sump for my calcium reactor and they work great....I am sure many other places sell them also

going in to an RO unit with brass is ok, as the unit should
remove any copper and other metals. but coming out of it,
the water is highly aggresive and may put the copper that's
in brass, back into the water.

Hmm, I just realized that I've had a brass needle valve on the output of my RODI this whole time now. It hasn't seemed to have ill effects on my corals but hell I'm ognna replace that !!

I know using brass parts in the tank is a bad idea due to the copper
