What color to paint the back of my tank? :)

Hi guy
I was thinking Blue, or Green...Or Bluishgreen (Reef water color). I think black would be too dark. How many people on here have painted backs?

Heres a pic of my tank

Mines half black, and half Reef Ceramics

I would go with what ever you think looks good. In time, the back of the tank will be covered in coraline algae and you won't see the color unless you clean it regularly anyways.

I personally prefer black. It seems to add depth to my small tank.

Mine was black, but is now 75% pink due to coralline growth.

I personally think that black makes the color of the stuff in the tank stand out better.

That is some awesome rock!

Due to growth (coralline) and rock obstructing the view to the back of the tank... I stayed au-natural...

I like the color of black makes the corals stand out better, i do also like the ocean blue (light and fade to dark as gets to bottom of tank) right now I'm going to be deciding on which one i want and ill buy it soon.

I prefer a dark blue. I have light blue now and it is pretty but I wouldn't get it again. Black looks too "blah" in my opinion. Do a Google image search for "reef tank" and just see which photos really catch your eye.

It's all a matter of preference.

I love black for backgrounds. Really makes the coral/fish colors pop.

Fade to black. Start with blue on top, then get darker and darker and eventually black. It'll give it that deep reef look.
But personally i have a black background, might try blue when I upgrade to a 180.

Black for me, but my friend in SC airbrushed his black at the bottom slowly fading into a sky blue at the top on his 110g Malawi cichlid tank.
