Good luck and take care of yourself. I hope the surgery is minor and you have a speedy recovery. That is what helped my week so busy and everything got neglected. My 12 year old has to have some surgeries on his hands and we have been all over seeing specialists the last week. Finally got everything squared away and the first surgery is scheduled for the 17th.

Good luck to both of you on your surgeries.

I get to have 2 "procedures" on the 7th, one tube/camera down my throat and the other one, well........

And I the 9th get to have my knee scoped again, this time to get the knee cap in the right spot. Good times.

Hope they are not looking at your knee problems through either of the camera insertion points of the first two procedures! Either way good luck... Hope they don't find anything! Unless you swallowed some diamonds or something

LOL LOL LOL

Would love if they found some diamonds, would help me buy more corals. But, that is the reason for the first procedure, my esophagus is getting too narrow and makes it hard to swallow, so they are going to stretch it -- have had it done before, not a huge deal. Just don't like the second procedure.

And the good thing about having the knee done again is that means at least a couple more months of PT. Made sure to give the ladies at PT Xmas presents so they will be nice to me.

Wow. Sounds rather midevil! "Roll in the throat stretcher!"

But yes, enjoy the PT And good luck! Maybe we can get knee surgery at the same time again and muddy-up the threads at RC at 4 in the monring again!

Wow, it does sound midevil, and I am sure that there is a real term for it, but I can't recall it.

Yea, how is your knee been treating you? LOL Yea, me might have to do that, I picked up the pain pills for my knee the other day, going to be a fun week.

And BTW, the tank is looking great -- jealous.

Well the knee is 60% at best right now. I had a bit of an incident at work the other week that didn't help matters and another one Wednesday night. Can't wait for the promotion to go through here in the next few weeks (hopefully) so I can do more office work and not out in the field as often.

And thanks, but I'm hiding the truth about the tank right now... I think I just kicked the small outcropping of dinos and now I'm going to work on the bryopsis and hair algae Guess I should have cooked all that rock, but I didn't and now I'm paying for it. Hopefully after this round, things settle in!

Its -5 here w/ wind chills right now Supposed to get a little colder tomorrow.

Hop - Hope that your boy gets through everything very easily.

Toddrtrex - sorry to to hear about your procedures. Good thing is that they should be pretty "easy" The worst thing about the "other end" camera trick is the "cleansing day" before. I've had two of those and I'm only 28 Funny thing is I about passed out from anxiety before my first one! Was through two knee surgeries before that and didn't care but something about exit only freaked me out I was happy I didn't remember any of it and the drugs they give you make you feel like you had a huge drinking binge w/ no hang over.

Geeze do we have some geezers here or just a bad knee club. I'll join and take the oath w/ you guys as an official member

Have a safe and happy New Years guys. Hop you don't have to catch any drunky monkeys tonight?

He should be good. He's a trooper! His hands were severely burned when he was 8 months old, thanks to his real dad who decided to get stoned while leaving the oven door open.

No kidding... Although my next one will require a knee replacement and realigning my joint by means of breaking the tibia and fibia... Can't wait

I need to move! If it wasn't for the humidity and bugs and bugs and man-eating gators and bugs I would maybe move down there

And thanks... I think the boy will be fine. It was just a rush to see specialists so he didn't lose any functions of his hands/fingers. Strange how quick the scar tissue bound his fingers.

Wow Hop, those are some unbelievably amazing pictures of your coral and fish. My favorite is probably the couple of the Mandarin. I just love those fish, as you can tell by my avatar ....I just finished reading all the post, from the first to last and I really love the setup!

That fish room is awesome...Please keep up the pictures and updates!

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!

That's too bad, sounds like he has a "real" Dad in his life now. How old is he?
Good luck!

Thanks, and LOL LOL. I know that is the thing I am not looking forward too -- the cleaning day -- This will be my 4th or 5th time, and I am "only" 37, good times. Darn diverticulitis. But, you are right, the drugs they give for it are very nice.

I'm going to try to do some before and after shots from 12.09.07 to 12.30.07 of the tri-colored acro. The problem is that I have moved the coral from the sand, and then two other spots on the rocks to acclimate them to my lighting. So I can't get the exact position up until now. I did post that I thought it was bleaching, but that was followed by some crazy growth. So here are some pics and you can decide for your self

12.09.07

These are pretty much just shots to show the growth and not breathtaking macros... Sorry

Wow.....very sharp pictures! Love the extreme close-ups....makes you feel like you have a hidden camera inside the coral.
