not sure are you running MH's and what type ? i do know its reated to running mh's. seems a lot of zoa's color morph under mh's and green pe's are one of them but they also seem to change the way their skirts look.
by the way nice picture reefdragon1086 |

well i tried to get a good picture but they are too far in the back. for me to get a good shot of them.
this is before i got mh's this is today. big differnce. it took a couple months after i got mh's for them to morph like that and yes i lost some along the way :< |

are they bleach, no. can i get a closer shot, not right now i would need to move that rock to the front of the tank. i cant do that till i get back from out of town, tue or so. but if i did get a closer shot they look like the ones reefdragon1086 posted with the wacked skirts. they have been like that for more then 6 months.

I'm wondering if this is similar to what happens to some LPS when under too much light, where you get oxygen bubbles trapped in the tissue from photosynthesis run wild.
Having said that, this does look much more regular and uniform than what happens to LPS... |

The skirts are different, but the paly color is nice. Do they grow fast?

Quote:
I have never seen them in or around Aspen CO? These names are utterly stupid as they have no bearing on the genus or conditions for their color. This species is one of the most effected by light and nutrient factors. If you take a GPE from Indo and blast it with light you will get variations of this morph. You can also take another GPE from a different region and blast them with 14-20K high MH and they will turn RPE. If you take that same RPE that has been changed and blast it with 10k it will turn orange/brown. IMHO the key is to get one with a green skirt and blast it with 20k to turn it red then blast it with 10k and strong VHO and you will get that absurdly priced orange polyp. Blah, Blah, Blah. The skirts in these seem very abnormal and might be stress or due to water conditions, shipping or a combination. It will be interesting to see if they resume to normal. good luck with your new polyps and they are very nice looking
