Who makes a better drier than Red Sea?

I have two 500g driers from Red Sea, the lid on both units pop off all the time if I dont duct tape the ends. The duct tape works ok, but gets weak over time if I dont use new, plus the residue from the tape is a pain. I would think for $40.00 Red Sea could come out with a better unit or fix the problem.

I have called Red Sea and they said that they cant do anything about it! Great customer service < NOT>
Is there another manufacturer for driers?

My wife does not like beads all over her floor, especially when I'm away on business.

Yep, I have had the same problem. I started using the clear postal packing tape to secure the side that pops open. Works great with less residue. Also, only the top pops off since the bottom is not removable. But I agree....really bad design.

Am I the only one who doesn't bother to use it at all? My tank maintains its orp without the ozonizer running for more than a few minutes a day even without the drier.

Why not just use a piece of PVC pipe? Its not like the air dryers are anything but a tube with an airline fitting on each end.
