I called lowe's and another place no one has ever heard of a bulkhead so i may just order them online from like aquariumpros.....I am going to buy the viaAqua 480s...they put out about 200 gph...and a max head of four feet....then the clear vinyl tubing about a foot....then the connecters that go into the bulkhead....I am thinking about going to aquariumpros but i just dont want to order the wrong thing....just worried about ordering the wrong thing....anyways thanks for all your help....maybe by christmas this should be up and running.....

what size is the outlet on the viaAqua 480? Is it 1/2"?

Yep...it's easy as that....this is the piece that will connect at the other end and screw into the back of the bulkhead.

I put new Smartpaq bulbs in my lighting fixture today...big difference. They remind me of a 20k MH bulb...nice blue tint.

Thanks...things are going well so far. The monti caps are growing really well...even on the PC lights...of course it's 80 watts on top of 3.5 gallons, so there should be plenty of light. I'm going to add a green monti this week. More zoas and a small clam are next.

i sense alot of trimming in ur future of this tank, those things are going grow pretty great with that light over such shallow water. but im sure u have a bigger tank to transfer frags to! lol

That is an AWESOME tank. A little small IMHO for 2 fish, but everything seems VERY happy and healthy, so got nothing to complain about there

another question....everything I need to get is a 1/2 inch...bulkheads and the locline....what size of hole do you think i should tell the people to cut....should i go with what the website says.....how do you figure the hole size out...thanks

yes...go with the recommendation for the bulkhead. My 1/2" bulkhead required a 1 1/4" hole.

my guess...pico is SMALL. haha smaller than nano...I would guess it's anything less than 5 gallons...someone may correct me...but pico is just a reference to size.

yea pico is just a name to reference how small the tank is...what is it called when a word sounds like its action?? Anybody good at english?? I think Pico sounds small. <5g is around a pico size IMO
