All T5 here. If I did it over I would have done T5 or halide fixture. Because cleaning the bulbs from salt spray is a PITA.

I went with the reflux 12k in a lumenbrite mini. Perfect color and good growth. Couldn't be happier....

I use all mh with vho. I feel that the vho's look nicer as supplementation than the t-5'. just my personal opinion.

My 180 sps - 2/250 hqi ocean lights on ends and a dual infinity 400 watter in the center.
My 75 sps - Marineland 4 bulb T5 hood. Just cant believe the color and growth out of this one. My ORA (2) and 1 cali tort colonys are much deeper blue since I took them out of the 180 and put them in this tank two months ago.

IMO T5 will only increase in popularity. Besides the efficiency and heat factors, new bulbs keep coming out, making it easier to get the look you want by trying different combos. Now if they would only shimmer... |

1 400w Aquaconnect 14k in a lumenacr lll. New tank will be lit with 2 400w Radiums in large Lumenbrite reflectors. No supplemental lighting. At least a first.
