All T5 here. If I did it over I would have done T5 or halide fixture. Because cleaning the bulbs from salt spray is a PITA.

I went with the reflux 12k in a lumenbrite mini. Perfect color and good growth. Couldn't be happier....

I use all mh with vho. I feel that the vho's look nicer as supplementation than the t-5'. just my personal opinion.

I agree with you but my fixture comes with T5's so I'm learning to live without the "pop" of the VHO super actinics.

My 180 sps - 2/250 hqi ocean lights on ends and a dual infinity 400 watter in the center.

My 75 sps - Marineland 4 bulb T5 hood. Just cant believe the color and growth out of this one. My ORA (2) and 1 cali tort colonys are much deeper blue since I took them out of the 180 and put them in this tank two months ago.

125 cube 3 x250w DE Aquaconnects and 2xVHO Super Actinic

70 tall - 1x400w Radium and 2xPC actinic- PFO pendant

40 gal prop tank - 1x400wSE Aquaconnect and 2xPC Actinic- PFO pendant

70 Corner - 1x 250w Phoenix DE and 4xT5's (actinic and blues)- Current USA fixture

I voted for the MH and VHO as that is my favorite combo.

Yeah. My kids love that show.

IMO T5 will only increase in popularity. Besides the efficiency and heat factors, new bulbs keep coming out, making it easier to get the look you want by trying different combos. Now if they would only shimmer...

1 400w Aquaconnect 14k in a lumenacr lll. New tank will be lit with 2 400w Radiums in large Lumenbrite reflectors. No supplemental lighting. At least a first.

Ditto for me as well, have tried T-5's combo halide on a smaller tank. Once my 150 was finished went with the VHO look and all I have to say is "ain't broke dont fix" so unless LED's is the second coming in looks I'm sticking with this combo.

I voted all Mh, but I have 4x 96w PC actinics as well.

Just switched to reeflux 12k and am fighting some browning and bleaching problems. hoping that helps.
