I agree... Great looking zoos.

"invest" Thats what I am going to tell my wife now every time I get a new zoo frag! "Baby, its an investment!" Lets see if that flys!

I don't honestly remember how much they were... no more than $50 cus thats how much I paid for a few colonies.

Yeah those arent photoshoped, I dont actually own photoshop. Would a polyp or two of these zoas be enough to pay for a copy? LOL.

Unfortunately, likely not. Unless you have a student discount somewhere. Very expensive program. Alternative - The GIMP. Similar feature set, except its free. Have fun "photoshopping" your pictures to your hearts content, without the cost.

By the way, amazing zoas. I can only hope that we start seeing some interesting things around here soon. I'm getting sick of driving 1.5-2 hours to find the "good stuff".

If your at Mich State, your right next to one of my fav stores, Pruess Animal House in Lansing. They get in some nice stuff if your into brain corals including acan echinata, zoas including PPEs on rare occasions, rics (saw a pink there last time for $99 which is $100 cheaper than a local guy here who sells out of his basement, LOL), pistol shrimp/goby pairs, and more. Last time I made the drive, which is 4 hours for me, I picked up some cool palythoas and a super awesome yellow montipora danae.

Even if they dont have something you want that day, returning often will give you more sucess. I found my zoas doing just that, waiting and watching.

But otherwise, Ill agree that Michigan and Ohio both have problems with "good stuff". Honestly I think people in Ohio simply dont want to spend money on "nicer" corals or fish. Check the selling forums- all gsp, leathers, and softies from Ohio. Nothing unique or uncommon (or expensive).

We can only hope

I love Preuss selection. When I'm home for the summer though, its a good 1.5-2 hour drive. With gas the way it is, and tuition the way it is, that only happens so often.

I did pick up a nice green zoa colony there for $53. Other than that not too much. The yellows pictured here, if I found them, I'd pay that for em. And just not tell my mom

Wow!

Other than yellow polyps I've never seen a zoa that intensely yellow. Good find!

Looking nice, true yellows are some of the rarest morphs to come by. How long have you had those, and under what lighting?

I think that's the first true yellow I've seen before. Very nice!

Mothra- they are under a 175 10K ushio bulb right now.

I started with 10 polyps and saw another one today. Pretty sweet.

You guys think these are rarer than PPEs? LOL. That would be crazy.

Well, I can hook you up an illegal copy of photoshop for some polyps

Don't assume that people will go nuts for them like the PPE's. There are lots of unique zoo morphs out there, yellow (not lime green. not tan, not cream colored, etc...) is just a hard color to come by but they're not even in the 'fad coral' ball park (not yet anyway!)

Hopefully they will stay yellow, not morph to another color, my guess is they'll stay yellow.
