Slightly more than half a pill.

I dont understand when my chromis had such a rough time. I know one of my cleaner shrimp made it through the first treatment.

Sounds about right. Still very odd especially if you had the chromis's for a while.

I dont think its anything I did wrong. I just know from reading about them, that they are more sensitive to changes than other fish.

From looking at the chromis that died, I noticed that their fins were torn up and parts of their body had small red wounds. All of fish get along so I know it wasnt another fish in the tank doing the damage to their fins.

I highly doubt it. I have 7 chromis in my tank, none showed any sign of a problem, and are doing fine today, several months after.
Chromis are relatives of damsels, and can be very aggressive towards similar species. I would suspect one of the other chromis' before the interceptor or the bugs.

All chromis were completely fine before the start of my interceptor treatment. They have been together for about 4 months now.

All my Chromis went through treatment months ago without a problem. I can say one of my Chromis is missing fins from the dominate male.

dustin... i have a large ssytem... 500 galon reef with 300 gallon rubermaid...sump.. my water change vat is 60 gallons..

so the possibility of me doing water changes is that i can only do about a 10% water change after each treatment...

thoughts on this...

thanks

I would do that 10% each time. The necessity of the water changes has been gone over 100 times in various threads. Some people have gotten away with not doing them at all, while others seemed to regret not changing enough water.

Could you mix up a couple of extra trashcans full of water or something?

did anyone figure out the actual weight of the small dog pills vs. the amount of active ingredient to figure out if the ratios were consistent with the large dog pill.

I have a 40 breeder with about 11 gallon is the sump that need to be treated. I figured that the amount I need to treat is 128.75 MG total weight or 3.93 MG of active ingedient.

I love to buy a smaller pill and split it up instead of cutting a large dog pill into 1/8 bits.

4 hours into the treatment...red bugs are 90% gone..polyps I havent seen for months are poking their heads out....RIP Skunk Shrimp and 10+ hermits
