Seastar ID

Hey Guys, i found this little star fish in my tank, the first time i saw it it was about 1/4 inch a few months ago now i saw it again for the first time in a while and its about 1 inch, can anybody id this, let me know if its reef safe.

I think I have the same thing, Saw mine for the first time today. Right now it`s small, black, and mising three legs.

Gorgeous looking sea star, could be a Linckia sp.? But I've never seen that coloration before. When you say 1 inch, do you mean 1 inch diameter from the tip of one arm to the other?
