Have a safe trip, Tanya!

For those of you keeping up with my favorite vegan poet reefer, she has decided to leave the conversation. I am just so sad, I can't tell you. I think I'm going to wear black and be in mourning for a while. If we're lucky, she'll write a poem about her experience to share with us.

I'm so mean.

Did you plan on standing on the side of the road east of Lansing? LOL!

I'm kind of upset and torn about this trip. Talked to my 2 friends from Michigan, and it seems that their Saturday is *booked* to go to a fish store and a cat show about an hour away and then kindly I was told that they wouldn't be gone all day, but that something was on tv (Ultimate fight or something like that?) Sat. night.

First off, is a fish store and a cat show that important when your friend is coming into town and will only be there ONE DAY? FROM 900 miles away??

Would kindly offering you a place to crash when you get in town while they are out of town be so hard to say?

And WHY bring up the tv show? I HATE TV....couldn't they have recorded it? (As a NON tv person, I don't understand, obviously)

So...I am pulling out of this trip if it's the last thing I do. I'm waiting on Amber to get home so I can talk to her about some other things that have arised that I don't think she thought about on this trip...like...$350 in gas or more, $300 for the vehicle we are taking, plus 30 hours of drive time in 3 days and only getting 1 day to actually visit our old friends...when for $550, she could have her stuff shipped out here via upack.com

Yeah Molly it is....I was SOOOOOOOO excited earlier today and now I'm just bummed out about it and I don't want to go now...but if it shall be that I need to go (because I just CAN'T let my friend go out on this trip by herself) I will go, but I won't be swinging in to visit my other friends that live there.

Wow, Tanya!!! What a bummer. Are you talking Shaun and Marlene? Trip doesn't sound like much fun anymore. Sorry.

You're welcome! How's your conscience doing?

Tanya, that totally sucks and is really crappy.

Well, if you still go, at least enjoy the site and the places you enjoyed while you lived there.
You are a good friend to still even consider going.

Ohhh Tanya, that is a shame.

It's funny that you said that about the $$ because Steve said the same thing when I was bummed that you were going--I hate it when he does that. I have to remember I am not going home during the holidays because of the darned gas prices.

It is a lot of driving for a weekend. How many hours from Boston? It is about 12 from here and that it long enough?

That does suck Tanya, heck gas prices are one of the reason I mostly will be moving once my lease is up. 80 miles a day is too darn expensive.

Well, I am going to go to Michigan, but we're leaving before noon, which puts us in MI around 2am Saturday. We'll be leaving MI Sunday morning which gets us back here before midnight Sunday.

I didn't win the cost analysis arguement Amber would have gone with or without me, I can't let her go 1800 miles by herself. At any rate, we'll go, have fun and do what we need to do. We're going to hang out with the folks we used to work with for a bit on Saturday.

Terry and Peggy...I'll throw a big wave over MI when we cross the state line! I wish I could come and have a beer or 2 with ya Peggy, like old times! Time just doesn't allow it this trip

At least the fall foliage across the states will be beautiful! We're going across Mass, New York and down by Lake Erie into Ohio and across that GAWD AWFUL Ohio turnpike!

So, I'm still here for a bit this morning, getting everything ready yada yada....I am already tired and we haven't left yet! LOL!

Hey Tanya, I think you have a stalker.

Have a safe trip! I get to drive to South Carolina next weekend with my 22 month old grandson in the car. 8 hour trip.
