Since this is a thread completly dedicated to the wonderfull ricordia. I thought id post my problem. I have different heads of rics. When i got them they were all perfect and fow a couple weeks really doing great. 2 weeks ago now after one my water changes, As well as removing my rock to scrub off evil hair algae i noticed that 3 of the heads havent opened up fully, The way they should be at least. I dont have a camera right now to take pictures but maybe i can draw a mental picture. 3 rics at which were jsut a tad smaller them a palm when full opened (2" - 2.5") now shunk to the size of a a loonie or larger coin (1" - 1 1/4") They take food if fed but are still the same size and colour. I dont know what to do.

You'll be better off starting a new thread about your problem than posting in this general thread.

Yes, my LFS never has anything but brown! And how can you order via mail if you work and aren't there to receive the FedEx?

You could have them sent to your work. And then spend all day wanting to go home and get them in your tank. I have heard that it is cheaper to ship to a business as well.

That was a great video! His rics are stunning. I want to try a tank like that some day, and I really like the design of his tank. Thanks for sharing that

But will they live if you do that? I have a 40 min. commute, and they'd be sitting around for seven hours if delivered at 10 am.

Presto I got those from a store that had MH lighting over the display tank and they were kind of shoved into a corner so they wouldn't get too much light.

I now have them in my tank at the bottom under 4x54W of T5HO bulbs.. i think 2 03's, a 460nm and then that super actinic thats actually a white-bluish mix. Hope that helps!
