If one of your power head is accidently overflowing your sump/refuge/tank with pipes, how do you plan on pulling the right plug in time? All these plugs is not necessary, I'm sure there is a much easier way to simplify things.
It's like your doing a math problem and your task is to simplify the problem. The problem says "Simplify 100/500", but instead of writing 1/5, you are writing 10000/50000. You need to simplify this whole plan and take people's suggestions into consideration or else you'll end up like, well, how you are right now. It sure seems like you rushed everything. It's not good to rush. Take your time and rethink this project. |

my 40 gallon uses 6 plugs and that includes auto topoff, I think 60 outlets is ridiculous it just doesnt make any sense

He's going to cause a big fire in his tank. Not just the house, inside the tank as well. Maybe even an inferno.

I would like to commend you for sticking it out through all of the negative comments. I think this shows a dedication to your vision. Keep it up. |

Just a thought but maybe the stand should be painted, stained or polyurethane before the labels go on? Instead of numbers maybe have the actual name for what each light represents. Just some ideas.
I also commend you for sticking around and completing the build but please be careful and take the advice of others into consideration. Good luck

Wait....what????? HUH????? Which one is the Sump and which is the reef? I thought the big one was the reef. Did you draw a schematic of the electrical system? Just wondering how you can follow everything.
If anything is going to cause a problem it will be the siphon overflows. If they fail you will pump the whole sump into the main tank, over flow it onto the electrical and... BOOOM! Or the water will be pumped out of the sump trigger the auto topoff and dump gallons of freshwater into the sump that will then be pumped into the main tank and crash it. Sorta reminds me of a Rube Goldberg machine, lots of potential triggers for a disaster. I like your sticktoitivness. You belong on Mythbusters with your complex designs. Have fun, I'll be watching! |
