haha i love atlantis, i cant wait to go back, i wish i could have tanks that big, since they use the sun and fresh ocean water they should just start putting coral in all of their aquariums

Yea, we had a great time in Atlantis. Just didnt want to show my lil tank after seeing some of the others. Here is a quick shot I took approx 5 minutes ago....

Equipment:

Tank is a 55g acrylic, 36"w 15"d 24"t made by TruVu

plumbing is a single 2" overflow with 1100gph return and SEIO 620 in tank.

300w titanium heater and a jumbo skimmer (for this tank) Reef Octopus NW200 (8" wide chamber, 25" tall) in a 20g sump.

The stand was custom built 36" tall with bigtime front access.

Lighting currently is a 3' coralife pc, 192w.


oh, and there are a bunch of damsels in their for playthings for the fishes.........

thanks for the compliments.

there's not too much info on the Malachite wrasse. It's scientific name is Pteragogus aurigarius. I found some info on it in Kuiter's fairy wrasse book. Fishbase had a little info too. They are only found around Japan and Tawian. The male's colors are amazing and he can change his stripes from yellow to orange to red.

My LFS got a whole bunch of rare fish from Japan recently, including a Wraught-iron butterfly, Jap. Dragon eels, Jap. Kidako eels, and even a pinecone fish. So far, I've bought the eels and the wrasses. (it's been an expensive month!)

A local wholesaler is supposed to take my Bumblebee grouper this week. If he does, that will leave and empty 210 gal tank...I'm thinking about the pineconefish for that tank. Maybe with some Kelloggi seahorses, pipefish and a pair of boxfish.
