Question Southdown in Triangle area?

Hello, I'm in Cary, NC. I'm looking for Southdown/Yardright in the area. Tired of paying $30 for a 30lb bag of sand. Anyone found it reasonable local? I saw one person had found it in Albermarle.

Thanks!

Rob, lately we've had about 20 or so people at each meeting. We had a meeting at Riverbanks Zoo recently that had about 30. It's pretty much staying in that range. Do you think you can make it up on Sunday? You should come!

I've got some extra corals taking up space in my frag tank if anyone's interested. Mostly softies/polyps/zoanthids. They include:

1) Sinularia Leather (tan with flour. green tips)
Lrg. colony $30, small frag $10
2) Toadstool Leather Md. (4" across) $20, small frag $8
3) Cynarina "brain" (button/cat's eye) pink/green Lrg. $50
4) Favites "moon" coral brown/green 6" around $35
5) Trachyphyllia radiata "brain" red/green Lrg. NICE $60
6) Hydnophora rigida (horn SPS) big frag $15
7) Anthelia (waving hand) Lrg. colony $20, frag $5
8) Green Star Polyps lrg. colony $20, frag $5
9) Xenia (red sea/elongata/pompom) various $5 - $25
10) Tubipora (pipe organ) Med. colony $25, frag $8
11) Protopalythoa/Zoanthus/Parazoanthus polyps - too many color variations to list...frags and large colonies available.
12) Mushrooms - Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Striped, fuzzy, etc. - various prices.

I've probably left some things out but that's most of it. No room for new pieces so some of this stuff has to go. I'm in Pittsboro, NC and shouldn't be too far from most of the Triangle area. Feel free to PM me to arrange a time to come by or if you need pics of anything.

He is carring it now, I was the one that made the first tranfer and the manager from HD in Albemarle talk to the manager at the HD in crossroads. Now they are going to carry it. If you cant find any Talk to Ben (manager) at the HD in Albemarle and he can transfer some. Ben knows that this sand is been use in salt water aquariums and there is a need for it, The manager at crossroads HD wasnt going to carry it anymore because he was thinking it was not going to sell because the regular play sand was cheaper

Fonchy,
A set of endcaps is $10 from Premium Aquatics. Via UPS Ground, they are only 2 days away.

ATTN: Triangle Area and Greenville, NC

Hello fellow Carolinians! I need HELP!

I've bought a 12'x2'x2' Glass tank that I need help loading at the seller's home in Durham, NC. The planned move date is Saturday, July 3, and we're shooting for late morning (around 11am). The tank is large and heavy but with enough help the move shouldn't be too bad. Out the basement, up to the street, and into the moving truck. We'll need 10-12 guys total. Anyone in the Triangle Area who could help, please let me know. The good news is that the entire operation in Durham should take less than an hour if we have enough helpers.

After loading, I'm planning to drive the tank (by myself) straight to Greenville (probably Ayden, actually) so I'll need help on that end as well. Anyone in the Greenville/Kinston area that would be available in the early afternoon on July 3rd that could help unload please let me know. It should only take about an hour there as well.

So, I'll need about a dozen guys in Raleigh/Durham, and about a dozen guys from Greenville/Kinston, and only about an hour's time from each group. I do have about half the helpers lined up but I'll definitely need more. I am more than willing to compensate any helpers with frags, beer, food, or whatever it takes to get the tank onto and off of the truck. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks

reelheel - I would be glad to help you guys on this end but I will be at the beach that weekend. Are you moving to Ayden? I would like to see that tank at some point.

If you need any help in the future let me know.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm from Ayden, but I've been in Chapel Hill for the past few years. I am considering moving back to the area, so I'm moving this monster tank there now because I have nowhere to store it here. Don't feel bad if you miss out on this move, cuz we'll be moving it again soon I have some family/friends in the area still but I'll definitely need some quick help there if you know of anyone that's available on the 3rd.

If/When I do get moved back there, I look forward to meeting the Greenville crowd. I'll keep everyone posted over the next couple weeks.
