Dave has one on his acro tank. what they say is that when a light is in a fixed position, the corals grow towards it. if you move the light the corals grow in a more even manner, in all directions. wonder if i could get one that cicled my tank? LOL!

Here is a site that I'm going to have to seriously think about ordering from after new years.

I like Fairy Wrasse. What I was looking at was the Flame Wrasse. $100 for a pair isn't bad. The others are out of my range, but if I could have a Harem for under $200 that would be nice. One day when I can financially afford those high end wrasses I'll go for it. For now I'll continue to be a budget reefer.

yo doc. that site has been around for years. the problem they have is that the corals you want are never available! or the people who are selling them will not respond to your emails or inquiries. good stuff on the site. but if you can't get it , you get tired of looking!!!!!!!!! IMO of course!

Thanks Lance. My problem is that I haven't been around for years. I realy do appreciate the input from you folks in the group. You folks do a great job on filling me in on what's going on in the hobby.

I did notice that no one locally was posting anything on frags.org. I thought that it might be a way for any of the group members to sell/trade with others outside the immediate area.

Kind of sounds like it's been tried and doesn't really work.

i have never been able to get one single coral off that site. everytime i tried to buy something it wasn't available so i gave up! i'm sure you can get certain things all the time, but what i want is the HTF nice stuff. unfortunately, those corals, while on the site, are never in stock. they are always "available soon." well i don't want to wait!

always impressed but never satisfied!!!

everyone check out this site and register to win a $100 gift certificate. If you do let me know(win that is). I want to order one fish from them and we can split up the shipping.

Here's a seasonal spot for kids of all ages:

http://www.noradsanta.org/en/tracking.php

I'm sure it will be busy on the 24th but maybe it will help you get the kids to bed. Merry Christmas!

There is a step by step video here on how to mod the maxi-jet.

Has anyone done this here?

So I guess the best thing to do is to trade among ourselves and watch out for James's redbugs.

No need to watch out for me, I'm not trading till I get my system healthy again. But remember, I have been getting my corals from the same places you guys get yours. You may want to check your corals thoroughly. I can assist if you need!!

James, if I didn't have you to poke fun at, I don't know what I'd do. It's good to have you back. The phyto is delicious!

where do you think you got them from? i haven't had a problem as of yet with any store local right now. curious if you have purchased anything around your area that might have given them to you? i only buy from rich, dave or waterworld here local. i have traded some frags here and there but have not currently seen any bugs in my tank as of today. wondering if maybe you picked them up from a local reefer. BTW every frag i have traded so far i still have the mother colony. so they shouldn't have come from me!
how is the treatment coming? really interested in how interceptor works. in case i ever need to use it in the future.

did you say you found pickling lime somewhere in your area? i cannot find it anywhere around here. LMK if you have. the shipping from that website is ridiculous! i can buy real kalkwasser and have it shipped for not much more.
