Well my personal experience is that my 10K ushio's do not have a yellowish tint. However, that could be because I always have my face smooshed up against the glass staring at stuff. HAHAHA

2 250 watt SE Ushios, 2 110 watt URI atinics, 2 55 watt "blue" PC's. This is an older pic that shows the color well. I need to change my bulbs at the moment

I am actually heading out for the weekend but here are some older pics...

10k XM with 4x165w Uri Actinics

10k Ushio w/ 4x165w URI Actinics

Its the only pic of the Ushio that I have at the Momet and It is a pretty bad pic... All the other ones that I have were taken when there was a bad capacitor on one of the ballasts and as a result the bulb was yellow... The problem has since been fixed I have just not taken any pics since then..

Also the Tank was torn down and rebuilt since the XM bulbs and I sold most of the Livestock and Replaced all the Rock with Pukani

Will take another couple pics of the Ushios on Monday when I get back

I have magnetic PFO ballast and Ihave run both Ushio and now XM 10k. I found the exact opposite of other posters. I have much better pinks under XM. It is far brighter, overall better color. Because of the high par I did have some bleaching, however. I like XM far better and will not go back to Ushio unless they are $10 a bulb.

Nice pictures and tanks. Man this is not an easy decision. Might just order both and see for myself.
