I wish. Waiting on my @*!#$ Marble guy to deliver my granite. Tank just collecting dust.

I took down wall

To understand stand size its 10 ft x 3 ft x 4 ft

and painted the stand though so thats movin forward.

I also ran 2 -12/3 wire so I will have 4 20 amp circuits for power. I think that should be enough. Will update when more happens

I think this will be my lighting set up

4 -- SLS Lumen Max 2 Needed to go smaller ones so I could add the t5's on the side instead of going with the full size lumen max
4 250's xm 10k's and 8 t5 54's

Any idea's on this?

at least you are starting to get somewhere! It's so hard to be patient when waiting for someone else to get their act together.

Can I ask why you are setting the tank on granite? Will there be some exposed? Does it have to be drilled for plumbing? How will it be sealed? I used granite in a bathroom and plan on using more, but it has been an eye opening experience for sure. It does need to be maintained of course but I think if it is properly sealed that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Drilling it and polishing it is another matter entirely...that's where the real headache lies!

>>> I like the way it looks and its in my livingroom so I wanted it to look more upscale

Will there be some exposed?

>>> Yes 4 inches all around for two reasons 1 is as a small catwalk and two it just finishes off the tank in a nice way.

Does it have to be drilled for plumbing?

>>>Thats the installers headache

How will it be sealed?

See above comment 8 )

I really don't mind people asking about $$$. Its a touchy subject with many here but feel free with me. I belive we are all in this together and can learn if we are over paying by sharing the information. I paid close to 3k for the tank, but it should have been closer to 2k if I had not added the 3 panels of starfire, outside overflows and all the holes I made. I had Karen at Exotic here in Miami build it. She just finished a 1200g for another person. Feel free to tell her I sent you.

WoW! Nice piece...although not good hangover material. I see you answered my question about the holes. Between that material and the open stand style, you really could put quite a bit of stuff under the tank if you wanted. I am interested to see if you lay anything between the granite and the tank and I wonder how the thermal properties of the slab will affect your system. It might actually help maintain temp. levels!

>>> That's the game plan. I have a 240 sump thats going under there as well.

>>> I doubt it but I hope so

No problem... always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Great looking tank, and the workmanship is simply awesome. It's going to be a beautiful tank, and I can't wait to see it with lots and lots of xenia (J/K) Now I just need to get your wife to talk my wife into letting me have one!!!

Give my wife sometime. she had no idea what I ment when I gave her the size of the tank. She almost killed me when she saw the truck coming down the street. She thought it was going to be ALOT smaller. I know she will get used to it. .... I Hope... I Hope ... I Hope...

nyvp I really like your use of granite. Could you give me an idea what a slab that size runs? I'm looking into one roughly 84"x42" and am trying to figure out whether it's in the budget.
