I agree, its a Majano. I had these before..
But its really cool that your wife is as involve with reefing as you are. I used to travel alot overseas, and my wife took care of my tank with I was gone.. Feed the fishes, cleaned the skimmer and bought water to top off the tank. Now, that im not traveling anynore. She just feeds the fishes and corals daily. |

In fact the tank looks better when she was tanking care of it.. sad to admit it.. |

Man, I'm hoping this is really a zoanthid, but if it turns out to be a majano I'll still post pics so half of you can say "TOLD YOU SO."
I can see the disappointed looks on all your faces when you click the subject and realize the thread is about a zooanthid/majano. Melev - Here's a another pic of my wife - a dancin' fool. I expect a sump on my doorstep when I get home from work tomorrow.

dont worry, its not a majano. I have the exact same things in my tank that i bought from a LFS. They were labeled as sand polyps. If you turn on blue lights, you might see a bunch of really bright colors pop off it.
Try it! |

if it is a zoa you can name it a mojano zoanthid and then frag and sell it for lots of money

Funny you bring this back up. Actually, the zoa was doing quite well, until my wife decided we should have an emerald crab. Let's just say this little frag was a well-prepared dinner for the new addition.

So it definitely was a zoa? I wish we could have seen the updated picture, considering all the zoa/majano debaters.

Trust me - I would have posted one. I noticed it opened up. Right when I got my camera I noticed the emerald crab chowing down. Needless to say, I was pretty mad - especially after all the discussion. Sorry!
To make it up to you.....ANOTHER PIC OF THE WIFE!!! Unfortunately, this one also includes me. Later!

wifey is hot... especially with the mask and dremel.
Congrats on the score! If my wife even knew what a Zoanthid was I'd probably have a heart attack. (PS: don' tell her!)
