DM, are you still interested in that sponge crab "Sumo?" CatDoc couldn't take him, and he's gotta get out! Even if you want to stick him in a sump or something...but he's definitely a redecorator. I can drop him off at your house if you'd like. Name a day, or better yet, email me (or have Tim email me) and we can swap schedules.

Thanks Amy and everyone who came out to support Tim's already healthy ego.

Mickey: Tim was already excited about being featured and when I mentioned having Sumo over for a dinner date he passed out from all the excitment. If CatDoc can't take him, we'd love to have him. I PM ya for more details...

Turns out that Boris was a little jealous of Tim getting to meet Sumo, and Boris took out Sumo before he could meet with Tim for dinner. Tim would be really sad, I think, save that he is distracted with his newest playmates (Special thanks to Rich and Wayne again and also Coralfarm123/Ian).

Had our clubs first big Frag-O-Rama yesterday and lots of new creatures signed up to room with Tim.

A longtime favorite type of "friend"

A somewhat intimidating new pal...

Some new tiny cerith or vibex snails and a pretty sponge-eating Nudibranch...

A cute little pistol. Coralfarm reports he has many of these little guys that came in with his live rock. I want to get my liverock where he got his...

Didn't get these at the swap, but I haven't shown them yet either, so here they are; the world's prettiest pest anemones...

PA got those in as a zoanthid rock and they had already started hopping off the rock and spreading about. Being the weird guy that I am, I knew they'd be the perfect pest to add to Tim's tank. Thanks Jeremy!

So after hearing that he won Thread of the Month status at the beginning of this month (through your generous and possibly fear-motivated voting), his head (as anticipated) grew three hat sizes larger. This, of course, necessitates a molt. Before he retired to his burrow last week, though, he updated his iPod with music appropriate to his mood...

Tim also prodded me to take some candid videos of him in his day-to-day activities; for posterities sake... or something. So I managed to grab some candids of him working on closing his burrow. Fascinating film by any standards, but I thought some of you might be more interested than others.

NOTE: Each of the links below is to an MPG format file roughly 5.5meg in size

Tim starts the closing project

Tim still working on making his chosen door fit

Yeah, still working

Finally, enough is covered so His Majesty may restfully shed his skin

Just for fun, here's some motion pictures of his pretty pest anemones /shrug

I started reading this thread on Friday and it has taken me most of the weekend to finish it. I must say that it has been more enjoyable than many novels that I have read.

Two of my tank inhabitants also really enjoyed hearing about Tim's exploits: Mr. Fat (lawnmower blenny) and Caesar (emerald crab). Wendy (formerly Walter), the gender switching clownfish, did not seem to care much about the story. Although, Mr. Fat informs me that Wendy has been very confused and antisocial recently, so Tim should not take it personally.

Mr. Fat and Caesar stayed up all night coming up with theme song to honor Tim. Unfortunately, I think that they have been watching too much of the cartoon channel because this song seems vaguely familiar. Anyway, it goes something like this:

"What are we going to do tonight, Tim?"

"Same thing we do every night D-Man...Try and take over the world!"

They're D-Man and Tim
Yes, D-Man and Tim
One is a genius
The other's a bit dim
Tim is a stomatopod
An almighty reef god
You'd better not swim
Near D-Man and Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim
Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim
Tim

Tim will never be outdone
His brain is full of guile
You better not poke fun
Or you'll end up on his dish pile

They're D-Man and Tim
Yes, D-Man and Tim
Their focus is slim
And their plan is real grim
To prove their shrimpy worth
They'll overthrow the Earth
They're D-Man and Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim
Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim
Tim
"KRA-KOW!"

I hope Tim enjoys the song. Caesar wants Tim to know that he came up with the line "An almighty reef god". I think that he wants Tim to remember this just in case they have dinner together sometime. Caesar has also been spending much of the morning eating more algae than usual. I think he is trying to prove that he is a good citizen and a valuable member of the tank community, and therefore should not be "relocated" to Indiana.

LOL!!!

I'm not sure how exactly I feel about being thrown into the role of Pinky in that scenario, but we both appreciated the effort put into his theme song!

Here's a couple related links of events in Tim's world:
- Omega (one of Tim's girlfriends) modifies her appearance for him...
- His spikey new friend starts to eat his tank clean of coralline

DM,

Your pictures and videos do not seem to be loading for me.

Can you think of any reasons why?

Tim

Can't think of a reason save that a couple of my latest pics saved a little larger than usual. You on broadband or dial-up? Looking into it on my end further, but they're still loading for me at home...

Good god (er I mean all hail Tim)!

I just spent all night reading this and got quite a few weird looks from my husband before he finally asked me what was so funny?

I tend to humanize my pets and have funny conversations with them but this takes the cake... I seriously have not laughed this hard in a very, very long time.

THANK YOU TIM!!! (and DensityMan)

Keep up the great saga!

Tim,
We previously spoke regarding your educational and career aspirations. I assume that you have recieved good grades this semester at Stoma Tech (through hard work or intimidation). I was hoping you would consider a summer internship at my firm. We are an apartment developer in sunny Southern California and have just aquired a site we will be building 200 units on. There is an empty daycare center there that needs to be demolished and I was hoping you might consider coming down for three months. You could take frequent trips to the beach and tide pools, Visit Sebastian (from The Little Mermaid) at Disneyland, Go to the Monterey, Long Beach and Scripps Aquariums for "some continuing education", I know you would enjoy Death Valley. Accomidations are available in my 100g reef tank with all you can eat crabs and snails. Just think days spent demolishing things and getting paid for it, nights here in The O.C. hookin up with the locals at the Laguna Beach tide pools, and once youv'e laid waste to the coast it's right back home DM (shipping included). Thank you for considering my offer, ReefStu

Get rid of them? They're gorgeous!

I'm trying to propogate them into covering all of Tim's tank.

BUT, if one did wish to get rid of them, I'd assume kalk injections would still work.

Tim thanks all of you for the adoration... er.. congratulations.

Really looking forward for a chance to eat... meet this "Rocky Balboa" guy. Want to make sure he knows how much Tim didn't like Rocky III and that Rocky IV is completely unnecessary.

Furthermore, if Rocky thinks the pasty Russian was tough, he's going to need many more stunt doubles at dinner than he had for Cliffhanger and stupid car-movie combined.
