Using the cooler instead of a bucket for the coil I've raised the water bath temp from 58 to 70 degrees using the same two 150W heaters. Water flow is up a little, but still in the 2 gph range. I'm going to go ahead and pick up a more powerful heater.

BTW NanoGurl, cool Siberian there. I've got Sib/Mal mix. Gotta love those big friendly furballs

I am still getting 5ish G/h and I think my water temp is 55, I will check it tomorrow as its water change day. The DI does reduce the rate a bit but I dont think its that much.

I'm making 1 gallon every 15 minutes currently. I've not checked the water temperature, but it is quite a bit cooler than during the summer months.

Both VERY acceptable flow rates IMO.

Marc, I would say mine is pretty close to yours. It takes about 24 hours or a little less to fill my 90 gallon make up tank. The water is quite cold right now though. Of course that's with the booster pump. I got no where near that prior to the booster.

The membrane in my RO system is rated 100gpd. That comes out to 4.16 gph. However, during the summer I can collect 5g of RO/DI in 55 minutes. That's a gallon every 11 minutes. In the colder months, which we are rapidly approaching now, it takes 17 minutes to make a gallon, or 85 mins per 5g jug.

Thats funny, I did a 12 hour day its more like 3 per hour (75gpd) for me. It does slow down a bit in the winter but its not that much.

Not everyone's lucky enough to have liquid ice on tap.

Phil, I told you that the solution to most of your issues is simple...move someplace warmer. You could move here, where it averages like 1 degree warmer. It'll feel like the tropics!

Naw, I'll just stay put. According to Al Gore it'll be 1 degree warmer here by next year.

Right now the water is about 50 degrees, even in the summertime it is cool (55-60) thanks to our friend the Ogallala Aquifer. I guess my point is that water pressure might be more important than temperature. My source to the RO/DI unit is at 80psi.

Wow I wish my water pressure was 80 PSI

I'll have to test my water pressure, I can always adjust the reducing valve at the service entrance. After all, my living space is kind of high at 16' above grade. I have a rather unique house.

But since I only have 2 fairly small tanks, I think I'll just a bigger heater for my water bath and call it good. If I ever upgrade to a 1,000 gal system I might think differently, but I'd need some major structural upgrades first, or turn the hanger into a fish room.

that's a long haul with groceries! I suppose if a guest can make it to his car without bodily injury, he's OK to drive home!

Hangar is for wheeled planes. There is a float pond here, but I'm on the wrong side of the runway to use it. Here's my little toy.

Wow! Nice little straight-tail 150. Don't see many of those around!

My wife and I visited Anchorage area in 1999. We are both pilots, couldn't believe all the airplanes there. We are lucky to have a couple dozen at the local airports. Though one of the airports has 5 out of the 8 flying Monocoupes!
