Man, I really wish you had a photo. Something like that would be great to post in the Reefer's Hall of Horrors! If it were me, I probably would have hung it out to dry or dropped in in to a jar of formalin.

I know that there's a strong argument to be made for diversity in the tank, but I just don't want worms like that. Those innocent looking little worms on Fiji live rock might be eucinids that can grow up into clam killers. That's why I quarantined my live rock in a tank with heartworm medication to kill off the worm population, and totally recured it with a batch of totally dead base rock. I know it may sound narrow minded, but I want to have control over the list of species that are growing in my tank, so that I can exclude troublemakers like the giant predator worms.
