Remember the old days when you went to a store and whatever you wanted was to exspensive , so you'd cry in your beer and eventually go pay the high price. The internet has taken my self control and run it thru a powerhead, Thats a great price but I really want a 120gl , I'm just going to keep saying that over and over.

I already checked the shipping. They don't reduce the shipping. If they did, I would have probably bought 4 of them to use as christmas gifts.

DOH! The AP12g is on backorder. Not too surprising. I wonder how many have been ordered since the start of the sale.

PS: I read on another thread that this sale on the AP12g will end on Oct. 25th.

Marine Depot: We have such a low price on this item because this aquarium is an older stock, and will no longer be available after we are sold out. This is a great deal for a high quality and versatile aquarium that will offer you unlimited Nano possibilities. Thank you for choosing Marine Depot

That's jacked! I just checked the status of mine and it is still backordered. I know I ordered before you guys.

No worries, hopefully that means I get the newer model.

PS: I wonder just how old this 'old stock' is... There was a recall on the Aquapod 12s 18 months ago. So be sure to check yours out when you get it in! http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml06/06111.html

the recall doesn't appear to be for the MH HQI version...but I'll check mine when it arrives none-the-less. old stock or not, that price is still cheaper than you can buy the 16.5" Sun Paq lighting for on it's one.

WOOT!!! shipment confirmation just received. Will be delivered on Tuesday. Now I just got to be sure to get home before my wife on Tuesday to hide the box from her.

"Shipment? What shipment?"

"Honest, honey, that aquarium has been collecting dust in the garage for months!"

Have you guy open yours yet? How is your light? Mine makes so much noise. It's like having a 30" fan on high speed.

Mine is opened and set up in the garage. I have yet to plug it in though. I looked at that fan and figured it would be one of the first things I replace if its not silent.

I've never used MH before. Is there some kind of recommended burn in schedule for the lamp?

I unpacked mine last night, but have not yet plugged anything in. What's your take on the glass lid? I'm thinking that it's unnecessary and will only hold in excess heat.

Now you have me wondering about the light and it's noise level. It looks nice though...can't wait to try it out.

Yeah you guy should test everything even if you don't set it up now. I post a thread in MD forum. Let see what they say about the light.
