Just b/c they can't come, doesn't mean they can't throw a few items in for the raffles. It's still good marketing........LOL.........I need a wavebox

throwing the idea of some additional vendors to hit up.

neptune systems. but would settle for hmm reefkeeper.
one vendor not mentioned at all and we could not do without would be a booth from Reef Central itself..

Last suggestion. being that this is a family fun event we should have some other activities so i am also suggesting we rent some type of "dunk tank" maybee some of the vendors and mods could step up and see if they can stay out of the tank .

I personally would throw a 20 spot for a few shots to dunk ones local hmm SCMAS President, vendor or better yet some of the mod's on the forum could step up.

I noticed PFO lighting will be there.

Anyone know if they will have Solaris H4 (new 400w version) on display? I sent an email to PFO sales dept and they have not replied.

Come to our July 20 meeting and ask them for yourself.
We'll have Joy Meadows (Head of Marketing) and Pat, one of the owners of PFO Lighting, Inc. presenting to SCMAS that night

I think I'll do that. I've been meaning to go to club meetings but simply don't have time since I work until 7p and live in Victorville.

Do you still meet at the IHOP?

Thanks
Doug

Yes Doug, we still meet at IHOP on the third Friday of each month. Check our website for meeting location and upcoming events.

Yes, attendees can pay at the door the day of the event:
Adults $5.00 (kids 12 and under Free)

Advance tickets will be available starting at the May 18 SCMAS meeting (Euroreef presenting). Advance tickets are also $5.00 each, but if you purchase 4 advance tickets, the 5th ticket is free.

So, to sum it up:
Reef-A-Palooza 2007 Admission:

At-the-door: $5.00 per adult
Advance purchase: Buy 4, get 1 FREE

As for selling frags and equipment:
- Smaller sellers may purchase a Tier 3 slot for only $25
- You are provided a 3' wide table space, 1 chair, and electricity.
- We are accepting Tier 3 reservations starting May 18.
1) payment must be made at time of reservation
2) total of 30 slots available on a first-come-first-served basis
3) All proceeds go to SCMAS (if any left after paying costs)

Will these speakers be spread out during the swap event or will there be a "moment of non-selling" while they speak?

Each speaker will be given at least an hour to speak. Considering we have only 7-hours for this whole event, no, we won't stop selling operations to listen to them speak. Opposite of IMAC and MACNA, our focus is on the vendor (buying/selling/etc) not the conference. We anticipate over 1,500 people attending this one-day event (many even flying in from out of state) so there will be plenty of activity going on from one end of the building to the other. We will have food vendors available outside the building as well. Speakers are a nice side activity to watch, but our main objective is "trade"; bringing masses of hobbyists and vendors togeter for the "Mother-of-all Marketplaces"!

That being said, I HIGHLY recommend bringing plenty of cash. With 60+ booth vendors and another 30+ Tier 3 sellers, there are going to be some AWESOME deals to be had that day!
