The Aquarium Mart on Bird Road should be added to the list (see Gasman's Big Clam Event thread). Nice store, was there today over lunch.

I will be visiting Miami in a couple weeks and was wondering is there 1 or 2 stores that are the best for me to check out while there?

Please try to visit as many as the stores that are in bold on this spreadsheet. These are FMAS favourite stores to visit.
If you have anymore questions at all just ask

Enjoy your stay in Miami

I forgot to mention, I left a few mentioned stores off because they did not meet the requirements for the list. The stores must sell saltwater fish and coral, be in Miami or Dade counties, and be a mainly retail store open to the public on your average day.

Here's the info for Fish Empire in Coral Springs:

Fish Empire Inc
10550 Wiles Rd
Coral Springs, FL 33076
(954) 755-6030

Also, I'm pretty sure that Gary's has not been there for a while. And the last owners (who also sold SW) were only there a short while. The last time I drove by (a few months ago), the store was empty.

I found a fish store that needs to be added to the list.

Something's Fishy
708 N.E. 125th Street North Miami FL. 33161

phone (305) 893-0751

There is also 2 other fish stores near this one that are not on the list.

All of them sell coral, saltwater fish, drygood, and fresh water fish.

Surprized no one has gone to any of these stores.

The other two are off of 135th.

Why do the stores need to be in Dade or Broward? What about stores in Palm Beach? Is there a seperate list for those??

FMAS is a Broward/Miami Dade based club. You can most likely find info on the Palm Beach Stores on the Palm Beach club website at www.pbmas.org.

Well, not knowing any better, I would think 'Florida' meant Florida, not just Dade or Broward. In the same way PBMAS is 'Palm Beach'.

Is there a DMAS or DBMAS?

Just a bit confusing I guess!

The club was founded in 1955. Palm Beach had not yet been discovered.
