Everything still looks amazing nvert! Glad to see everything still thriving. I can honestly say from seeing this tank in person no photos will EVER do it justice.

Wow. That's a great tank. Gives me something to shoot for with my 120. Definitely needs to be nominated for TOTM.

NO kidding about the FATSO PIG in the tank. He's more aggressive at feeding than either the trigger or anthias. He'll litterally grab krill or squid out of the mouth of the trigger, swallowing it whole! He's actually kindof embarrassing to show people.

The return pump puts out close to 1250gph. Of course the Sqwd + a 4' head cuts it down a bit but in combo with the MJs EVERYTHING moves. In fact the fish even get blown across the tank sometimes.

I was reading your tank equipment list from your "little red house" and am curious. Did you have rock rubble in your Whisper 4? And do you still have it set up this way? I was considering doing this with my power filter because of all the reading of people not using filter material any more, but was not sure if anyone was doing this with powerfilters.

2fishy-
Boy I need to update that little red house!!!!

Yeah, the Whisper was on my old 40g setup. Since I did not have a sump on that systmen, the old whisper with rock rubble was a great place to grow pods that constantly fed the tank. It also provided additional water movement.

I do not have this set up on my current thank though.

I kinda thought so after I submitted that post and then read on the bottom of one of your posts that you have a sump!

But I am really glad that you responded because I am still going to consider doing this. I can't have a sump because I have small kids and I think that Hotwheels will corrode and I am afraid they will play the sink/float game in it!

Did you keep your rock in a media bag? And last question, did you have to pull the rock out to do filter maintenance? Hope you don't mind, but I like the idea of keeping it as natural as possible and it seems people are having much less problems and better results in just have filters as water movement, (understanding the LR & LS are the filters). I would probably have to add more LR. I have 30 lbs in a 55 w/ 70lbs of aragonite.

Thanks again!

2fishy-
I did not use any filter media and/or bags to hold the rocks in the Whisper. It was an empty chamber just filled with rock rubble. Simple as that.

I love the mix of corals in your tank. All the colours really pop as well... that's one hell of a reef tank.

Awsome Tank!
I'm in the planning stages of a 120. I only hope it's half as nice as yours.

Keep up the great work!

That is an awesome 120g tank. It's definantly worthy of being a TOTM.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned but, what brand of tank are you using and are the T5 setup over clocked by IC ballast or by a regular T5 ballast?

Can we get you to post more picture of your setup, what's inside the stand and lighing?

Thanks and keep up the good job.
