xpyder...

C:\...yada yada as the file name means it's still on your PC. It has to be uploaded to a post or gallery first.

Just an FYI xpyder..on your first attempt you grabbed the page's URL, not the photos so that's why that one didn't work..but could have. The second one came back as a secured page, like a password is needed or you've since deleted it..that's why that one didn't work. The third attempt I think you realized you had a "]" backwards in the opening IMG tag.

Glad you finally got it.

You can use the HTML "img" tag also. Inside of the "<" and ">"
put: img src="http://www.wherever.com/mypic.jpg" with a space between img and src but nowhere else.

is this even close to being right?

I hope someones still monitoring this thread.
Anyway, I'm new to digital photog.
So, let's see if I've got this right.
First- there are 2 ways to post a picture
a-post a link to the picture
b-insert a picture directly into the post.

Now I read through this post and need alittle more help.
For us slow learners out there, to put a pic directly into the post are these the steps required?
1-take my pics
2-input them into my computer--I use kodak easyshare which came with my camera- the Kodak easyshare cx6330
3-then, from my easyshare software, somehow upload them to someone like photo.net ,,
4-then in photo.net make sure they are sized right.
5-in photo.net properties, copy the url of the picture I want to insert
6-in RC - go to thread- post reply- put the (img-url-img)

Is this even close to right??

Thank you, I couldn't do half of what I've done with my tank without this board and you guys.
