Just set up my tank. Did i get it right?

Hi everyone:

OK I just set up my (first) tank and would like to know if there is anything that still needs to be done before I finally order my long awaited octo.
The set up is as follows: 29 gallon tank with an Enheim filtration system. The specific gravity is about 1.024 and I put about 20 pounds of live sand and 20 pounds of live rock in there so there is plenty room for the guy to hide.
Temperature is 72 Fahrenheit. The lid is also taken care of in case the guy (or maybe girl) is adventurous.
Is there anything that I still need to do?
Thanks for you help.
Your marine-biologically challenged friend, Leib.

Well cycle your tank for 3 monts add a protein skimmer and use only RO/DI water and good salt. Test and make sure all ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are zero. 15 -20lbs of live rock. And your tank is ready when it is crawling with copapods, isopods and amphipods.
