Grand opening of "Under the Sea"

Hi all,

We have a new local supporting store in Cranberry Township. It is called "Under the Sea", and Jason, the owner asked me to announce their grand opening to our members.

The official grand opening will be Monday, January 23rd, but Jason is offering PMASI members a sneak preview on this Sunday, January 22nd from noon until 5:00pm. Non-member visitors to this forum are welcome too!

Under the Sea carries Marine and Freshwater livestock as well as an assortment of dry goods, pumps, skimmers, lighting equipment, etc. They will offer PMASI members a 10% discount.

The store is located on Route 19 in Cranberry Township. From the turnpike or Route 79, exit at Cranberry and take Route 19 north. The store is in a strip center on the right at the intersection of Route 19 and Rochester Road. Look for the Ichiban Japanes Steak House that is in the same shopping center.

I encourage anyone who plans on stopping by to come early for two reasons... first, you can be back home in time for the Steeler's game and second, it will get the most of us there at the same time to visit and chat.

Just as a disclaimer.... I have no affiliation with this store or the owner.

Adam

I stopped by the store earlier tonight, and they just got a Large coral shipment. Should be some nice stuff for Sunday.

Jason also mentioned that the offer for the preview was open to the freshwater club members...etc

Does anyone know if he sells bulkheads? I was considering ordering them online, but would really like to get my tank drilled so I can get the "ball" (cheato) rolling. :-)
Thanks

I stopped down there tonight and the place was phenomenal. Lots and lots of Really nice corals and Jason said that most of the good stuff was there and bought even before the store is officially open and there is a great selection. Jason is a real cool guy and is easy to get along with.

Stewie, I've got Bulkheads in stock from 1/2 inch up to 1 1/2 inch. Don't worry, I have an abundance in each size, so they will be there on Sunday. See you then, Jason.

miatawnt2b,

Oh, are the Steelers playing? I thought baseball season was over.

Seriously, though... The game isn't 'til 3:00.... Plenty of time to stop by and be home it time for the tip off.

I stopped by there on Saturday, very nice store. They have a good selection of corals. They have one huge tank full and 6 or 8 smaller tanks with frags.

I stopped in and purchased a algae scraper (a good one) and a Sea-Haire . Prices certainly seemed more reasonable than other LFS. Good personal service and selection was good - especially for a smaller place. Hopefully, Jason will beable to sustain and become established and grow.

I was there on Sunday and agree the pricing is good and the selection is good. The dry goods selection was pretty up scale, not stuff you usually see in a LFS. I hope he does well. I always thought that area would support a store. I hope I'm right.

I live in state college pa, about 3 hours away. What r the hours, phone, and when is the best time to buy ie when your new shipments come in and when they are avail for sale. I just don't want to drive all the way and find out the nicest stuff is already gone. Hope your answers don't violate RC rules.

Stopped by tonight and picked up a small squamosa for only $25 as well as a green monti. Some nice croceas still left. Nice selection of coral and frags. May have some new store growing pains to get the tanks cycled and established but looks promising and an excellent selection for the area. Good luck Jason.
