Help, Sick Lion!!!!

I have a Volitan Lion fish in a 120G tank w/ Bursa trigger, Snowflake Eel, and a Foxface Lo... The lion fish has done well since I got him in March. Eating silvers sides from day one. Over the last five days he has started to show very bad health signs: fading color, eyes clouding over, not eating, slugish.

Water parameters: temp 82, specific gravity 1.021, ammonia 0, nitrite 0 , nitrate 40

Help!! Not sure what is happening and what should be done!!!

To me it sounds like flukes. If you have a quarantine tank set it up and use the proper medicine (fluke tabs, pennicillin, copper) or you could freshwater dip it but, i don't like to use that method. There are many ways to cure the situation and you have to find what would work best. (don't mix medications)
good luck

Go and buy some meds - something wide-spectrum (some of that maracin brand stuff works very well). IME if you treat a lion like this fast they almost all recover - if you don't they almost always die.

BTW, do a 25% water change asap - that's always a good thing to do in this situation.

Contains: oxybispropanol (sp) and praziquantel
