Mark nice to see that you are adding nice fish in your nice sps tank, anyways I am into the RARE fish but if you want my opinion I would go with the ORANGE STRIPE ANTHIAS if you wanted to keep anthais, and I am a fan of RARE angels so the Holacanthus africanus would be nice in your tank, you might be one of the few in cali to have one in your tank and only 1 in Sac.
The Joc would be a very nice addition as well.

I love triggers. The blue jaw has already been mentioned... There's also the crosshatch and sargassum.

Ooooh, the Crosshatch!!!! Definitely one of my favorites. The trick will be convincing my wife that we really need an $800 pair of fish to go with the $$$$$$ tank.

Me likey!!! I'll have to wait til the 250 gets setup, and then check things out though. Just curious as I've seen several pairs for sale and they are always $700-$900 for the pair. Nice to know I may be able to afford them before too long.

Those crosshatch are amazing. That would be tempting if I had the tank to fit them and the cash to blow.
Question: how long do you think those fish would live in a tank if they are already that large?

I kinda stumbled upon this thread, but I'm glad I did.
I saw you mention that you were considering a Christmas Wrasse. I can tell you right now that you really really should not consider them for your new tank. I've got one in my 120 SPS tank, and while he isn't aggressive at all, he does eat my snails. He eats anything but astrea snails, and even my 1 big mexican turbo snail doesn't come out during the daytime anymore because he gets picked at by the wrasse. You said you don't want a sixline, but I've got one and really love it, though I've gotten the impression that their personalities are really hit or miss, getting an overly aggressive one or a passive one. Anyway, it sounds like you're going to have one sweet new setup, so I wish you luck! |

Thanks for the heads up on the wrasse. I had heard the same thing and I think I was talkingf to another reefer because that is what he has in his tank.
As for the 6 line, you are right about them being hit or miss. Hopefully yours will stay mild manored because as mine got bigger, so did his attitude. In fact, I have not seen my leopard for a few days and I am afraid for the worst
