Clowns and a trigger
I have a small 2" huma trigger that is fairly agressive(only during feeding time) towards my little porcupine puffer and I want to add a pair of percula clowns and a small emporer or blueface angel. I have no anemones for the clowns, but I have heard they don't need one . I am wondering if anyone keeps these fish together or knows if they will live together.

I had a porky and I still have the humu, they used to fight all the time at feeding time. Also, those clowns will be lunch for either the porky or humu.

Thanx, guys. I am assuming that a juv. angel will fare well with the trigger and I can find something else to put in besides the clowns?

Perculas would indeed be dinner but you might try a pair of bigger, more aggressive clowns like Clarkiis or Maroons. I've had a big Clarkii in with a Porcupine Puffer for years without issue. Honestly, the clown is probably the more aggressive of the two!

We found that it is not good to put a clown because they got aggressive towards the other fish and we took them out.

Clarkii clowns are the fastest clownfish. Those would be more acceptable in your tank.

I love my Clarkii. He will sometimes chase my banner fish but never catches them, and I'm not sure she is really trying to. She runs the tank and is usually out in front watching everything and making sure everyone else is nice to everyone. If two other fish start to chase eachother she swims over and breaks it up. Very odd but funny. When I transition to my new, larger tank I am planning on adding a very small Clarkii on the same day I make the move. Hopefull they will pair up. The only complaint I have about her is when she bites me as I am cleaning the tank. While it really doesn't hurt it always scares the hell out of me. I think a Clarkii would do well with the triger, at least for a year or so tell the triger decides the tank is his.
