how much longer should i hang?

it's just after 2 p.m. lizzles just left, amy isn't here today (imagine that ) and liz told me to close up and go home when i feel like it.

i have a few odds and ends left to clean up and then i'll be ready for jury trials monday. should i leave as soon as i'm done or should i hang around till 4:00 or so?

i'll go with the decision of the majority.

Finish the work, then go home. It'll give you a sense of accomplishment, and, more importantly, you won't have it there to do come Monday.

as a rule, i don't. but monday, i have to be in court. clifford's case is going to jury. he swears he wasn't drunk. he wrecked his car, hit a pole, suffered a concussion. THAT is why he was wobbly and failed the field sobriety tests.

Have you ever noticed that no matter how many dirtbags you send to prison, (or in my case, how many die of ODs, crashes, fights, etc.) there is always a new guy ready to step into the system right behind them? There is an endless supply of "clients." You made the right decision to go home. They'll be waiting for you on Monday. Enjoy!

if there were ever 2 people in the world who have job security, it's me and you.

i told liz today that i thought it was very odd that we have not been appointed to more DUI cases. i've only caught 2 since new year's eve. but then she reminded me that next thursday is traffic day. they are trying a new system, only arraigning new traffic cases a couple of times a month. it'll be feast or famine for me. mostly feast, i am sure.

christy, monday is usually my day off. the only reason i'm going in this coming monday is because clifford wants a jury trial and he's one of my losers....errrr....boys.
