Acropora Feeding Video
I finally got a hold of a decent digital video camera to record some acro feeding. I'm new to this so please be patient with this first clip. I should've trimmed off the first minute of this because nothing really happens in the beginning.
There are two spots in the clip when this plana is grabbing the baby brine. The second part (towards the end of the clip) has the most action. I love watching this, check it out ... |

What brine shrimp are you using? I thought I heard on here to be careful about hatching your brine shrimp. I am not sure. I've got a kit myself. I was thinking of doing something like this, but I stayed away from it. Let me know. Good video. Very cool! Thank you.

I even still take the extra time to spot feed rather than broadcast. I'm sure I'll get tired of that at some point, but I think you get a better ratio of captured shrimp that way. Less waste. And it's kinda fun ... for people who suffer from sps addiction. |

Thanks all for the comments. I get a kick out of watching the millie's because you can really see the reaction of the polyp with that long tentacle. |

I think it's reasonable to assume that if a coral is taking in larger quantities of (solid/undisolved) food it's going to grow at least a little faster. I know it works that way for me! |

Any chance you can take another video close up? I would love to see what is happening with one of the polyps when a shrimp is snagged.
