Sharing pics of my 2 year old 120g
This tank is an upgrade from a 2.5 year old 40g reef I started spring 2002. Most corals began as frags in the 40g, grew too big, and then they had the audacity to demand an upgrade in their water condo! Well, what can a reefer say to that????
Running dual Ushio 250 14k hqi + T5 Blues at the moment, CS-8 skimmer, a fuge in the sump, a sqwd on a Panworld 100 PX-X return, and 2-1200 MJs for in tank circulation. Top off with Kalk only - no other additives. No carbon. About 180lbs plus of live rock. Feed a pinch of flake, cyclopz and frozen cube daily, sometimes with Selcon. Water change is 5g/week or one big 40g/8 weeks whichever is more convienent. Fish (which I love and I know it's a lot): 1 pair of bonded maroons 1 niger trigger about 5" (I know, I know!) 1 Bangaii cardinal (first fish placed in the 40g years ago) 1 FAT chalk bass 1 yellow clown gobby who is sooooooooo cute hanging out in the sps 1 yellow tail blue damsel (another first fish from the 40g) 1 orange spotted gobby 1 mandarin (eats frozen food) 1 14" snowflake eel (I know, I know!) 1 male lyretail anthias with 6 females 6 clams and various other common inverts and corals. The battle with the green star polyps will never cease. Hope you enjoy the pics. ![]() ![]()
