Skimmer Question

I want to have as little as posible in the tank as far as visible components, and I was wondering if I could drill my Remora AquaC skimmer so that it feeds the sump/refug and then have it also be the return point? (sorry if it sounds confusing and/or ridiculous, it's just an idea)

thanks,
~k.
