My 46 gal. Bow is 6 months old
I started this tank 6 months ago. I had been out of the hobby because i had a tank crash and didn't no why. So i started this one up to test the waters again. So far so good. I will give you my tank perameters first. Water Temp from 78.8 to 81,cal. 480,mag. 1490,alk9.6,salinity 1.25,ammonia,nitrates,nitrites not detected. I have a 75 gal. rubber maid sump and also have a 29 gal. tank running with this system. I use a ETS Protein skimmer and a cal. reactor on this system. Lighting i started with a ice cap 660 bal. and have 2-96 watt. Uri Super attinics and 2-96 watt. uri attinics. This worked well but i added a 400 watt. mh. I switch every 2 or 3 weeks from a xm 10k back to a 20 hamilton blub. It seems to work out well. Just testing to see what will happen with colors. For circulation i have 2 iwasaki md 40s. One is on a closed loop, and the other one is for reciculation. I also have a seio 1100 and a 1500 in the tank on a wave timer. I would like some feed back if possible. if anyone has any other ideas please feel free to share them. Almost all started from frags.
If you no what this one is let me no. If any one nos what this is? |

How are the Anthias doing? I would like to add one to my tank. That's a Lyretail correct? I've heard they need larger tanks. My LFS suggested a Starburst Anthias if I was to get one. I'm actually looking for a Mccoskers Flasher wrasse. Nice tank. I like the Green Monti.

the tank looks great! i too have a 46g and often think that im too limited w/ what i can do w/ a smaller tank. i'd love to see pics of the plumbing to the sump and other tank. also maybe how the closed loop is setup and full tank shots.
thanks |

Thanks marinegirl411. The anthias are doing great i have had them for 2 and a half months. The only thing i don't like about them is they need to feed them a couple times a day. Other than that they are vary healthy. I have a auto feeder on the tank and it feeds in the morning and then i feed in the evening. I'm not sure of the name of them.

Wentreefgirl thanks you are right about all the frags. I think at last count maybe 50 frags and about 6 or 8 colonys. It's nice to watch them grow but would love to have had more colonys i wanted to see how long it will take to grow them out. In the other tank that is hooked into the same system i have a couple of colnys and about 30 plus frags in there to. I will post pictures sunday of that tank.
